In full swing, late July….

It’s zucchini time! The week of rain and humidity has really helped the garden along….we are getting zucchini, lots of greens, and the beginnings of cherry tomatoes and green beans. The greenhouse tomatoes are incredibly tall, and the butternut squash, which took a hit when the tree fell on it, has bounced back completely…..resilient plants…

Mid July garden

Some pictures of the garden in mid-July….   Zucchini seedlings, below, for a second planting…. And below, a lesson in being adaptable.  If a tree falls, where is it going to fall?  Probably right in the butternut squash patch….  But no worries….nobody was hurt, and the squash is recovering!  Those plants are amazingly resilient…..
