November

 November, practically winter! But here we are, still harvesting from the greenhouse..which is almost done for the season, and will soon house the chickens till February/march ish, when hopefully we will begin planting for spring. We harvested 2 bushels of greens, and a half bushel of carrots, not bad for mid November……

   
 A new project in the works…Basketmaking. What began as a homeschool project, I can see becoming a hobby..
  
Below, turkey stock canning..I can it at 10 lbs pressure for 60 minutes..

Prepping some experimental Hugelculture  beds for the spring…(old and rotted wood layered with branches and organic material for a nutrient rich, moisture holding raised bed) 

We have nicknamed it the enchanted garden, nice and tucked behind the woodshed, and next ro greenhouse…we are planning on building a fairy house village back here too…fairies and elves help the vegetables grow, so my children tell me..😉
