November, practically winter! But here we are, still harvesting from the greenhouse..which is almost done for the season, and will soon house the chickens till February/march ish, when hopefully we will begin planting for spring. We harvested 2 bushels of greens, and a half bushel of carrots, not bad for mid November……

A new project in the works…Basketmaking. What began as a homeschool project, I can see becoming a hobby..
Below, turkey stock canning..I can it at 10 lbs pressure for 60 minutes..

Basket weaving class!

More food for storage, cabbage, turnips and apples.

The turkeys love the spring water.

The fall greenhouse..

Canning pumpkin jam, aka pumpkin pie preserves.

Below, some of my dehydrated vegetables…before powdering into a winter smoothie superfood powder..

(Dried kale, chard, spinach, beet greens, beets, carrots, apples, pears, collard greens, and cabbage..)

A bunny in a basket..

Freezing chopped greens for winter.

Apple butter in the making..

Prepping some experimental Hugelculture  beds for the spring…(old and rotted wood layered with branches and organic material for a nutrient rich, moisture holding raised bed)

We have nicknamed it the enchanted garden, nice and tucked behind the woodshed, and next ro greenhouse…we are planning on building a fairy house village back here too…fairies and elves help the vegetables grow, so my children tell me..😉

Pumpkin butter, and Apple side by side. That was a lovely smelling day!!
