Chicken processing weekend…

This is the third (I think) year we have been raising our own chickens for meat, and the process is becoming more efficient and streamlined each time, though still a challenging weekend for us all…. Garden update! July!

The summer heat is here, and the garden LOVES it! The ‘pickle’ garden! Cucumbers and dill are going strong, climbing away… The fence line of tomatoes are finally tied up, and look happy…no tomatoes yet, but soon we hope! The summer and winter squash have popped, with the tomatoes trailing on the ground behind them……
